Prosecutor-General Jaromír Čižnár wants to meet with representatives of the Supreme Audit Office (NKU) and the Slovak Police Corps in order to discuss reports of crimes involving overpriced purchases of medical equipment, TASR learnt on Thursday.
“Based on published information on the overpriced purchases of equipment in health care facilities, Prosecutor-General Čižnár has initiated a meeting with representatives of NKU and the Police Corps of the Slovak Republic,” said Prosecutor-General's Office spokesperson Andrea Predajnova. A further output of the meeting, set for 19 November, will be a general evaluation of legal cooperation between the judiciary and the police in the criminal investigation and impetuses for how to make joint cooperation more efficient.
