President Peter Pellegrini left on Friday morning for a three-day working trip to Munich, where he will attend the 61st Munich Security Conference, hold several bilateral meetings, and meet Slovak expatriates.
More than 50 heads of state and governments, 150 ministers and senior representatives of international organisations are expected to attend the Munich Security Conference. US Vice President J.D. Vance’s team, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and senior European Union officials are also expected to attend.
The forum’s programme will focus on global security challenges. Considering current events in Ukraine, Munich will become a hub for diplomatic initiatives aimed at addressing the world’s most pressing security issues, stated the President's Office.
