Slovak President to attend AI summit in Paris

Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the public good, the future of work, innovation and culture, trust in AI, and global rules for its governance – these will be the key themes of the third Global AI Action Summit in Paris, which Slovak President Peter Pellegrini will attend early this week.

The AI Summit will be co-chaired by France (President Emmanuel Macron) and India (Prime Minister Narendra Modi), according to the president’s office. AI will be discussed not only by presidents and prime ministers but also by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and key representatives from the technology sector, including Sam Altman (OpenAI), Dario Amodei (Anthropic), and Arthur Mensch (MistralAI).

The office also noted that one of the side events of “AI Week” is an informal ministerial meeting of the Global Partnership on AI, which Slovakia co-leads with Serbia.
