Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico met with EU commissioners in Brussels alongside attending an informal EU summit. He discussed gas supply alternatives with Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen, mainly plans to import gas from Azerbaijan. With Commissioner Michael McGrath, Fico addressed Slovakia’s constitutional amendments, including a proposal to recognize only two genders and align education policies with the constitution. He emphasized that any final proposal would be legally sound to avoid conflicts with the EU. Fico also commented on global geopolitical shifts, particularly U.S. policies under Donald Trump.
