Jordan's moderate voice plays stabilising role in Middle East

The moderate and tolerant voice of Jordan plays a stabilising role in the turbulent region of the Middle East, Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák said at a meeting with his Jordanian opposite number Nasser Judeh in Amman on Tuesday.

“We have a common goal with Jordan in this: creating conditions for lasting peace, stability and development of the region and beyond”, said Lajčák, who described Jordan as an important strategic partner for the EU, NATO and a significant country of Europe's southern neighbourhood. According to Lajčák, Slovakia is ready to send a business mission to Jordan soon to chart out specific areas of possible cooperation and establish direct contacts with economic partners.
