Public-service broadcaster Slovak Television and Radio (STVR) has the most objective television news broadcasts, followed by news-only channel TA3, according to the results of a survey published by Median SK on Tuesday.
The poll, which canvassed 2,021 respondents aged 14-79 between October and December 2024, showed that 20.8 percent think that STVR (Jednotka, Dvojka,:24 etc.) provides the most objective news reporting, followed by TA3 on 20.1 percent. Next came private channel TV Markiza on 17.8 percent and private channel TV JOJ on 14 percent.
Some 4.8 percent of the respondents chose some other television channel as broadcasting the most objective news reports, while 21.6 percent were unable to answer. The respondents were allowed to pick only one television channel.
