According to the findings of the daily Plus One Day, Jana Maškarová will become the new Police Corps President. In the past, she was vice-president of the Police Corps. She should replace Ľubomír Solák, who left office after the brutal attack by a student in Spisska Stara Ves. The Interior Ministry confirmed that the name of the new police president will be presented by Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok (Hlas-SD) in the near future.
The daily said that Maškarová's name was mentioned in several cases during the governments of Igor Matović and Eduard Heger, and she was a witness at the NAKA in the Purgatory case. According to the information, she is expected to take office on Monday, 27 January.
