The Office of Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre (ÚGKK) of the Slovak Republic has launched a website, kataster.vugk.sk, where data from the real estate cadastre is published.
"We would like to inform the public that the published data is current as of January 3, 2025," the office clarified. It also warned that due to the anticipated high public interest in the cadastral data, temporary outages of the site may occur. "If the site does not respond immediately, it is due to a large number of queries being processed," the office explained and asked the public for patience.
In January, the cadastre’s system, which is used by its departments of district offices, was hit by a massive cyberattack originating from abroad. The offices of cadastral departments were temporarily closed in recent days. Since last week, operations at cadastral departments have been gradually resuming.
