The pro-Russian organization "Brother for Brother" has announced plans to form partisan groups across Slovakia, calling for what they describe as a "cleansing of the country." Opposition politicians warn that this poses a serious threat to national security. Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that anyone inciting the dismantling of Slovakia’s state system or organizing illegal activities will face condemnation from the government.
The group actively recruits members through social media, where it has approximately 130,000 followers, urging Slovaks to "build cells across the country." Politicians like MP Jaroslav Spišiak (PS) expressed concern over their rhetoric, noting that the term "partisan movement" implies possible violent or destabilizing actions. MP Mária Kolíková (SaS) called the group a risk to the country’s stability and urged immediate government intervention.
According to reports, the group’s leader has appeared on Russian state television to promote a petition for Slovakia’s withdrawal from the European Union. Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer-SD) assured the public that intelligence services are monitoring the situation. Education Minister Tomáš Drucker (Hlas-SD) emphasized that Slovakia’s EU and NATO membership remains non-negotiable, drawing a "clear red line" against undermining the country’s alliances.
