The Danube Exceeds 10 Meters in Height

Due to severe floods in Slovakia and the rest of Europe the Danube River has been rising drastically. On Wednesday evening it had exceeded 10 meters in height and at noon on Thursday, in the centre of Bratislava, it was 1,029 centimetres high. The river is predicted to reach its peak on Thursday evening.

Apart from the Danube running through the capital Bratislava, the Vah River has also been rising calling for a third degree of flood warning in Southern Slovakia from the town of Komarno to Kolarovo.
