Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD), accompanied by a delegation of ministers and businessmen, left for an official visit to Turkey on Monday morning, TASR has learnt from the Government Office's press department.
The main goal of the visit is to confirm the quality of bilateral relations between Slovakia and Turkey and to elevate them to the level of a strategic partnership.
Fico is slated to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara. They will discuss intensifying economic cooperation between the two countries and the current situation in the world. Several bilateral agreements should be signed during the meeting.
