Fico should meet Zelensky in the next few days

Volodymyr Zelensky invited Robert Fico to Kiev for a Thursday meeting, but the Slovak Prime Minister declined. Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) said at a press conference in Košice on Thursday, 16 January, that a new date for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was currently being sought.

"We are looking for another date, which should be in the next few days, as far as the meetings you are asking about are concerned. When that date comes, I will tell you about it right away," Fico said. He added they would be informed about the location of the meeting in the future.

Michal Šimečka arrived in Kiev together with other PS politicians. Following his words, important negotiations await them, which he did not specify yet.
