President Peter Pellegrini honored 35 high-achieving students and their teachers at the Presidential Palace for their success in international academic competitions. The students and also teachers received an award for success from the Education Minister Tomáš Drucker in the Presidential Palace. The event gained unexpected attention when student, Simon Omaník, refused to shake Pellegrini's hand after receiving the award.
