Some of Slovak MPs visited Moscow this week, meeting with top Russian officials, including Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma. The goal of the delegation according to leaders Andrej Danko and Tibor Gašpar is renewing dialogue between the countries' parliaments and fostering cooperation in trade, culture, and global security. Discussions also included the controversial issue of gas transit, with Danko questioning whether Western companies are profiting from reselling Russian gas to Europe at inflated prices. Despite the backlash from opposition MPs and general public, the delegation remained confident and stressed the importance of maintaining diverse international relations. Meetings with officials, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, were also on the agenda, alongside plans for future collaborations.
