Former Slovak Presidents Rudolf Schuster, Ivan Gašparovič, Andrej Kiska, Zuzana Čaputová, and current President Peter Pellegrini gathered for a meeting at the Presidential Palace, agreeing that Slovakia’s rightful place is within the European Union (EU) and NATO. While differences on the future of the EU and NATO reforms were acknowledged, there was consensus on Slovakia’s membership being necessary for its survival. Kiska urged Pellegrini to ensure a clear foreign policy voice, especially regarding actions perceived with concern by international allies. Gašparovič called for cooperation between opposition and government for the country's benefit, while Schuster advocated for electoral reform as a solution to political tensions.
