Parliamentary delegation already in Moscow

The Slovak parliamentary delegation will visit the Russian State Duma on Monday and is also scheduled to meet with some ministers, TASR learnt on Sunday.

House Vice-chair Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party/SNS), who is leading the delegation together with another Parliamentary Vice-chair Tibor Gaspar (Smer-SD), stated on Sunday after arriving in Moscow that he has also a confirmed meeting with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“I'm surprised how many Chinese cars are here. The markets that some Western companies vacated here have been taken by the Chinese," said the House vice-chair, noting, however, that Western cars are also seen on the streets, so there must be spare parts available for them in Russia.

Danko said earlier that he plans to convey information from Moscow about Russia's food self-sufficiency or the increase in investments by Western companies.

Before leaving for Moscow, he mentioned that he wants to show what the situation in Russia is like and that there are, for example, Germans, French or Americans doing business there.
