President expresses condolences to families of explosion victims in Czechia

President Peter Pellegrini expressed on Sunday his condolences to the families of the victims of an explosion in the Czech Republic.

"I'm extremely sorry for the loss of life and I hope that the quick intervention of the rescue services will prevent another disaster," he wrote on a social network.

Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. "I received with horror the news of the tragedy in the Czech town of Most, where six people were killed after an explosion in a restaurant. I express my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to all those injured," he posted on a social network.

Six people were killed in an explosion and fire at a restaurant in the town of Most on Saturday (January 11) evening. Eight people were injured, six of them seriously.
