Police pulled over a man on Wednesday night whose car had been clocked at 194 kilometres per hour while driving on the D2 highway, where the limit is set at 130 km/h, said Bratislava region Police spokesperson Karina Považanová.
The 37-year-old driver from Germany was caught by the police in Malacky near Bratislava shortly before 10 p.m. (5.11). The driver of the Volkswagen car, who was heading for the Czech Republic, was subsequently fined €500.
