The number of personal bankruptcies in Slovakia decreased by 19 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) to 589 in November, the second-lowest figure this year following March, according to an analysis published by CRIF–Slovak Credit Bureau (CRIF SK), which manages the credit registries of banking and non-banking houses.
The proportion of men in personal bankruptcy was higher than that of women, with their total number reaching 360, while only 229 women went bankrupt in November.
Of the total number of individuals who filed for personal bankruptcy in November, only six women and 11 men had a university education. The long-term trend is for debtors to be mostly of productive age, with the biggest proportion of them ranging between 30 and 39 years of age in November.
