On Monday (9 December), the deputies of the National Council of the Slovak Republic will again attempt to discuss the opposition motion to dismiss Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Estok (Hlas-SD).
A discussion on the dismissal of the head of the Interior Ministry was supposed to take place in the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic this week and last week, but parliament did not have a quorum. The debate on the motion of no-confidence in Šutaj Eštok was therefore postponed until February next year.
The opposition wants to dismiss the minister for the current situation in the Police Force related to the departure of police officers, the neglect of the problem of police brutality and the failure to address bomb threats in schools, the harassment of investigators and the spreading of hoaxes. Šutaj Eštok has repeatedly denied this.
