Russia, Ukraine, and the European Union last night in Brussels agreed a new deal on gas supplies until March 2015, announced the European Commission.
“I am pleased that the political responsibility, cooperation and common sense have prevailed over economic logic,” said EC President José Manuel Barroso after witnessing the deal’s signing. “This is an important step for our common energy security on the European continent” he added.
