Teachers may get at least 1.2 fold the average wage in their pays by 2016. This is how much Education Minister Dušan Čaplovič (SMER-SD) wants to give teachers until the end of his tenure. According to the Statistics Office, the average monthly wage for Slovaks for the first three months of this year amounts to €837.
The wage increase for teachers would push their salaries closer to around €1,000 per month.
