Slovak intelligence service (SIS) released a report on its activities in 2013. This report states that for laundering of money from crime, criminal groups in Slovakia are mostly using restaurant and real estate businesses, construction companies and commercial activities in recreational areas.
Moreover, the report has revealed that there are persistent efforts of foreign intelligence services to infiltrate central government authorities and security forces in our territory. It has also noted the efforts to influence public opinion. The effective counterintelligence protection of Slovakia has been done in cooperation with the intelligence services of NATO member countries, the European Union and from some of the partner Asian countries.
