Slovakia currently has two special rescue teams that are equipped to transport people suspected of having been infected with Ebola. Such teams are only in the regions of Bratislava and Košice.
At a working meeting at the Slovak Public Health Authority it has been decided that the remaining 6 regions of Slovakia are to be equipped in the same way. According to the Chief Hygienist of Slovakia Ivan Rovný, keeping to the approved procedures, regularly educating health care personnel of what to do with contaminated patients is of top priority right now. Health Care Ministers are to meet in Brussels on Thursday to coordinate preventative measures for EU member states against Ebola.
