Slovak scientists ensure scientific resource access

Scientists will continue to have access to the latest scientific information. The Education Ministry announced the continuation of the project National Information System for Supporting Research and Development in Slovakia – Access to Electronic Information Resources with a budget of more than 51.5 million euros. "This project will ensure that our scientists and researchers will have continuous access to the latest scientific information and resources. With this step, we not only support excellence in research, but also increase the competitiveness of our country on the global scale," said Education Minister Tomáš Drucker. Among the main goals of the project is to increase the performance of the Slovak science and development system through continuous access to online scientific content, up-to-date information across scientific disciplines and ensuring access to publishing. The national project is intended for users working at public research institutions (public universities and the Slovak Academy of Sciences). They gain access to the databases through registration in the academic library of their own university, or in the Central Library of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
