Slovakia will continue to rely on crude oil deliveries from the Russian Federation in the coming years, according to the daily SME. Both countries have prepared a new agreement on cooperation in regards to long-term crude oil deliveries to Slovakia and the transit of crude oil across its territory.
The agreement stipulates that Russia would be delivering six million tons of crude oil annually to Slovakia. The same amount of Russian crude oil would be transported across Slovakia’s territory further to the west. The agreement will be signed for the period from January 1 of next year until the end of 2029.
