Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer-SD) has filed a disciplinary motion against the judge of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic, Juraj Kliment. He proposes his dismissal from his position as a judge. “On 4 July 2024, the Minister of Justice of the Slovak Republic submitted a proposal for the initiation of disciplinary proceedings to the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, and as a disciplinary measure, the Minister of Justice proposed the dismissal from the office of judge,” the ministry said.
Susko announced the filing of the disciplinary motion at a press conference in June. He justified it by the decisions of the highest judicial authorities on the violation of fundamental human rights and freedoms by the Senate 5T of the Slovak Supreme Court.
