A traffic accident involving a bus and three passenger cars blocked Slovakia's busiest motorway stretch between Bratislava and Trnava on Thursday afternoon, according to National Highway Company (NDS) spokesman Michal Furik.
The accident took place on the 34th kilometre of the motorway between the town of Senec (Bratislava region) and Voderady (Trnava region). As the road was completely blocked, the traffic from the capital city to Trnava had to be rerouted from Senec to the so-called 'old road' leading to Sereď (Trnava region). Subsequently, the old road also became heavily congested. The traffic accident didn't claim any injuries, so medical emergency teams didn't have to be dispatched to the site, spokesman of the Emergency Services Operation Centre Boris Chmel told TASR.
