After a complaint, the charges against the MP and ex-police president Tibor Gašpar (Smer-SD) and five others, which they had been facing since December 2023, were dropped. This was decided by the Supervising Prosecutor of the Regional prosecutor’s office in Bratislava on July 8, 2024. At the same time, the prosecutor ordered the commissioned investigator to make a decision on the matter again. Last year, Gašpar was charged with the crime of breaching the confidentiality of an oral expression and other expression of a personal nature by complicity. Five other people, among which was also Norbert Bodor, were charged with crimes related to bribery, accepting a bribe or forming and supporting a criminal group.
