President: Cyril and Methodius spread faith politely

We see the Holy Brothers of Thessaloniki as the creators and founders of our linguistic, cultural, educational, religious, and poetic traditions. This was stated by the President of the Bishops' Conference of Slovakia Bernard Bober during the event "The Message of Cyril and Methodius" took place at Devín Castle in Bratislava on Friday. It was held on the occasion of the national celebrations for the 1161st anniversary of the arrival of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Slovakia.
 
The event at Devín was attended by top state authorities. 
 
Saint Cyril and Methodius spread faith politely, with no hatred, said President Peter Pellegrini at the Devin event. According to him, the saints came up with the idea that every nation has the right to celebrate the liturgy in its own language. The President noted that Cyril and Methodius’s tradition and legacy is enshrined in the preamble of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic.
