The fourth Slovak satellite GRBBeta will soon go into orbit. It will be carried into space by an Ariane 6 rocket, which is scheduled to launch on 9 July from the European Spaceport in French Guiana. The aim of the mission is to continue detecting gamma-ray bursts. In addition to scientific activities, the Slovak satellite will also provide services to radio amateurs.
The project is implemented by the Department of Aeronautics of the Technical University in Košice, together with international partners and financial support from the Education Ministry.
