Resolution on deportations of Ukrainian children to Russia refused

On Friday, Parliament failed to adopt a resolution concerning the deportations of Ukrainian children to Russia. The authors of the document wanted Parliament to condemn the deportations and called on the government to join the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

Opposition MP Vladimira Marcinkova has lambasted the coalition for failing to support the resolution. "The government refuses to join, to help a coalition of countries that is trying to give these children their lives back because they are being Russified, forcibly adopted into Russian families, while their parents have no information about them," said Marcinkova. According to her, the government has completely given up on saving face in front of the world, and the failure to adopt the resolution was "a disgrace for our entire country".
