Young canoeists win 4 medals at European Champs

And while football made headlines, media brought information about 4 medals secured by young Slovak athletes at the European Canoe Association Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint Championships held in Bratislava-Zemnik on Sunday. The Junior male K4 team ranked second in the 500m, earlier in the day, the U23 women’s team claimed silver in the K4 500m as well as the bronze in K2 500m. With Alex Gavlider winning bronze in the 200m junior kayaking discipline, Slovakia thus acquired a total of four medals.
