Interpol Bratislava has successfully transported a convicted Slovak national from Los Angeles, California, to Slovakia, spokesman for the Police Corps Presidium Roman Hajek told TASR on Monday. The convict was brought to prison, where he will spend the next four years.
The man was convicted of abusing the power of a public official as well as the offence of bodily harm. "This successful operation was the result of close cooperation between Interpol Bratislava, the US authorities and the relevant Slovak authorities. The safe and efficient transport of the convict to Slovakia was only possible thanks to international cooperation and coordination," added Hajek.
