The 18th Zemplín Veteran Rally starts in Michalovce on Thursday running through Sunday (23rd of June).
Mikuláš Koščo, co-organizer of the event, said that it is a rally of cars and motorcycles up to the year of production 1985. “We have limited the number of vehicles to 100. We also have participants from England, Germany and the Czech Republic.”
According to the organizers, there are several interesting and valuable vintage cars, for example, a car adapted for the Beijing – Paris vintage car race. They also highlighted the participation of ten-time Czechoslovak champion Peter Baláž, who will exhibit vintage motorcycles. The oldest car displayed is a 1918 Ford.
During the following days, the vintage cars will gradually pass through the valley of the Slanské vrchy up to the Poloniny Mountains and each day they will end their journey at Zemplínská Šírava, where they will be exhibited.
