Slovakia's exports in April amounted to €9 billion, up 6.3 percent year-on-year (y-o-y), which is the highest growth seen since June 2023, according to a preliminary report for April 2024 published by the Statistics Office on Friday. Imports rose by 4.4 percent y-o-y to €8.5 billion. Slovakia thus posted a trade-balance surplus of €465.8 million, which is an improvement by €172.5 million compared to the same period last year.
