House of Slovak architect in China opened to public

A unique mansion, a masterpiece was opened in Shanghai, reports the Hospodarske Noviny daily. The so called Green house was built in the year 1938 by the Slovak architect Ladislav Hudec. Hudec was an influential architect in China in the first half of the 20^th century.

His Park Hotel which he built in 1943 was the first skyscraper in Shanghai and the tallest building in Asia until 1983. He built altogether 65 buildings in Shanghai. In June of this year, Hudec’s home, the Green house, was opened to the public for the first time.
