Business and consumer confidence in the development of the Slovak economy deteriorated slightly in May, with the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) decreasing by 2.8 points month-on-month to a value of 103.7, the Statistics Office reported. Confidence fell significantly among service businesses, and a deterioration was also observed in trade. Conversely, industrial entrepreneurs were optimistic, while a slight improvement was registered among construction entrepreneurs and consumers.
