The management of the private TV Markíza stopped their political show “Na telo” with popular host Michal Kovačič with immediate effect. On Sunday, at the end of the talk show with the highest viewership in the country, Kovačič stated that the television management tried to censor the program and put pressure on the newsroom. In response, TV Markíza management released a statement claiming that "TV Markíza, as an authorised broadcaster, bears editorial responsibility for effective control over the content. The presenter abused the broadcast time to present personal opinions in violation of the law on media services and the journalist's code of ethics." For this reason, the management decided to immediately halt the broadcasting of the show. 95 Markíza television employees stood up for Michal Kovačič and criticized the management's actions.
