People working at night should have bonuses at level of EU countries

People working at night should receive bonuses at the level of EU countries, as Slovakia has the highest share of night work in the EU, Economy Minister Denisa Sakova (Hlas-SD) said on TA3's discussion programme 'V politike' (In Politics) on Sunday in connection with the prepared automatic calculation of the minimum wage.

"A law is being prepared, where the automatic calculation of the minimum wage, equalling 60 percent of the average wage, would be introduced into practice once again. Some other bonuses, for example bonuses for night work, are linked to the minimum wage," stated Sakova. Her opponent on the show, MP Marian Viskupic (SaS) sees it as a problem for employers' competitiveness. According to him, the government should help employers, which also means help for employees.
