Slovakia has managed to draw all the EU funds from the 2014-2020 programme period, said Investment and Regional Development Minister Richard Rasi (Hlas-SD) following the cabinet session on Thursday. The level of funds drawn from the Integrated Regional Operational Programme (IROP) even exceeded 100%, as the former government signed contracts above the framework of allocated funds, said Rasi. Slovakia could draw €13.7 billion from the structural funds and the cohesion fund in total.
"Drawing in the 2014-2020 programme period will be record-high in terms of the history of EU funds in Slovakia. In less than seven months since the new government assumed office, Slovakia has managed to draw €2.7 billion and increase the level of drawing EU funds from 84 percent to more than 100 percent," stated Rasi.
