All milestones and targets concerning the fourth recovery plan payment request have been met, Vice-premier for EU Funds and the Recovery Plan Peter Kmec (Hlas-SD) claimed on Thursday, adding that Slovakia is likely to submit its fifth payment request in late 2024. "The issue of public spending limits has been resolved. There was still the unresolved issue of the sustainability of the pension system in light of the adoption of 13th pensions. This has been resolved as well, so we have completed our homework," said Kmec. According to the vice-premier, further critical outstanding issues relate in particular to the fifth payment request.
