President Kiska opens a new centre for start-ups in the USA

On Monday, President Andrej Kiska opened a new business incubator for start-ups in the USA called the Slovak American Innovation Centre. The San Diego based centre is to support five or six companies at a time in their primary business development.

“There are many talented and skilled people in Slovakia who might need at the beginning help with their premises or their ideas. And it’s great if they can have someone helping them in a country like the USA because it’s a huge market with huge possibilities, stated Slovak President Andrej Kiska. The President is on an official visit to the USA, which Foreign Minister Lajčák claims is a symbol of the partnership between Slovakia and the US in the area of economy, which Slovakia is very keen on developing. The centre in San Diego is first of its kind outside the territory of Slovakia.
