Parliament on Tuesday is expected to hold votes on the opposition's no-confidence motions in Culture Minister Martina Simkovicova (an SNS nominee) and Health Minister Zuzana Dolinkova (Hlas-SD).
The no-confidence motion in Simkovicova was submitted by the Progressive Slovakia and SaS parties in February. In their opinion, the minister is unduly interfering with the freedom of culture with her statements and actions.
Meanwhile, the no-confidence motion in Dolinkova was submitted by the Slovakia party, Progressive Slovakia and KDH. According to them, the minister has not dealt with issues concerning healthcare, such as a collapsing outpatient sector, lack of nurses and potential loss of EU funds.
