Russia still delivers less gas to Slovakia

Russia still delivers less gas to Slovakia

The volume of natural gas delivered to Slovakia from Russia through Ukraine is still lower than ordered. “According to unofficial information, last week the reduction of gas supplies ranged from 10 to 20 percent,” says a source from the gas industry who asked not to be named said for the news portal vEnergetike.sk.

This means that Slovakia sees reduced gas deliveries from Russia for a third week now. However, this has no effect on Slovak households or firms yet, because consumption is still lower than the lowered deliveries from Russia. Slovakia is already prepared for the possibility that Russia will completely stop the flow of natural gas. In such case it has reserves for another six months. Economy Minister Pavol Pavlis believes this will not happen.
