The celebration of three significant anniversaries and the 'christening' of the F-16 fighter will be the leitmotif of this year's SIAF International Aviation Days due to be held at Kuchyna-Malacky (Bratislava region) airbase on August 31 and September 1, Slovak Aviation Agency media manager Tereza Simoncicova told TASR.
"The main content plan for the SIAF 2024 event will be to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising, the 20th anniversary of Slovakia joining the European Union and NATO, and the 75th anniversary of the founding of NATO," said Hubert Stoksa, SIAF general director and director of the Slovak Aviation Agency. This year's aviation days aim to contribute towards dignified and spectacular celebrations of these important milestones in the history of Slovakia.
