Borová hora Arboretum welcomes the disabled

As part of its annual Days without Barriers program, Borová hora Arboretum at the Technical University in Zvolen will again be open to groups of people with physical disabilities. The event will focus on nature education using barrier-free aids and equipment for people with specific needs. The Arboretum has been intensively dealing with the issue of barrier-free access at the scientific and professional level since 2015, when the first international seminar on this issue was held in Slovakia.

"With beautiful plants and natural scenery, planted with diverse species of trees, it provides opportunities not only for university education, but also for educating the general public, including people with disabilities," emphasized the director of the arboretum, Ivan Lukacic.
