Ukrainian demining units will be trained in Slovakia as another form of specific Slovak aid for Ukraine, Defence Minister Martin Glvač confirmed after his meeting with Ukrainian counterpart Valeriy Heletey on Thursday.
“We responded to this request swiftly. All it takes now is to agree on specific dates and numbers,” said Glvač. “I declared at the meeting today that we can talk about any form of aid.” Glvač added that the meeting was held face to face and not all forms of Slovak aid can be released to the public domain. Minister Heletey praised Slovak help, whether in securing reverse gas flow, humanitarian aid or aid provided to the injured in Slovak hospitals.
