Members of the Constitutional Law Committee spent the whole day questioning the first three candidates for the position of judge of the Constitutional Court. Some opposition MPs criticize the former Parliament Chairman Peter Pellegrini for announcing the election of a constitutional judge too late. Some MPs do not expect that two of the five candidates will be elected by the parliament. "There will probably be a second round, where 76 votes will be enough. Of course, there will be other nominees, that's clear," said Roman Michelko from SNS. There is still no agreement on the names of the candidates that the deputies will vote for.
