Presidential elections on Saturday

Presidential elections on Saturday
On Saturday, 6 April, the second round of the Presidential election will be held in Slovakia with the polling stations open from 7 am through 10 pm.

Many Slovaks living abroad are returning home in large numbers ahead of the election. This has been confirmed by the largest Slovak ticket seller. The number of planned arrivals has increased by tens of percent. The influx of foreign Slovaks is also counted on at the polling stations.

In this context, the Ministry of the Interior is appealing to voters from abroad not to forget about the conditions under which they can participate in the elections. Slovak citizens living abroad who do not have permanent residence in Slovakia need a valid passport and an affidavit of residence abroad. Slovak citizens living abroad who are also permanent residents in Slovakia may vote at their place of permanent residence or at any other polling station if they have obtained a voting card.
